The Regimental Drum Major Association (RDMA), www.drummajor.net, preserves the heritage, history, pageantry, and fellowship of Drum Majors and provides reference information to current and aspiring Drum Majors. Their many downloadable manuals, information, links, and calendar are provided at no cost. At over 1000 members from 40 countries, Regimental Drum Major Association has the information to help you progress within the Drum Major community.
World Drum Major Association, Inc. (WDMA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, promoting, and preserving the history of flourishing Drum Majors. Now in its second year of serving the Drum Major Community, WDMA has created the largest amount of monetary and tuition sponsored incentive and scholarships for Drum Majors, the largest competitive circuit for Drum Majors, co-hosting the first United States National Drum Major Championships, and increasing competitor numbers at Highland Games Drum Major to the largest they’ve ever been in the Western United States.
Since its inception in 2005, International Drum Major Institute (IDMI), www.DrumMajorLessons.com, is one of the fastest growing Drum Major Schools, having taught hundreds of students across the nation, amassing some of the world’s best instructors and competitors together to produce quality education and a lifelong enjoyment of Drum Majoring to its students.
ScottishDrumMajor.com is owned by Regimental Mace Company distributor William Jordan. Perhaps the most in-demand instructor around the world, Jordan is the 2009 European Champion and multiple World Championship finalist. He has instructed students who have won every major Championship.
William Jordan is a retired Drum Major of the 1st Battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and is currently Drum Major for the Dumbarton & District Pipe Band.
This site has been created by Drum Major Richard Wilson to provide a free source of information for Drum Majors to help them be more effective. There is information for all styles of Drum Majors and field conductors. (This is an ideal resource for Drum Majors of drum corps, high school and college marching bands, as well as band directors and instructors.)
